Yes, thanks. Unusual for me to work in this way. It kind of just ripped that day. ;)

Wonderful abrasion, you really have décollage going on. Fascinating and somewhat ambiguous mood here. Nice work.

I had our friend Hanan's photo work in mind as an inspiration as I was putting this one together. This particular piece kicks off the series with some scene setting, whereas the rest of the series, at least as far as it's developing, is concerned with men and their tools. This one surprised me, too. One of those things I felt but had no intention of making, but then...there it was.

i am honored :blushes: and glad! i was attracted to it even in the thumb.
it's simply amazing, with it's technical perfection, the emotion and the many symbolism. not that i have any idea of what they are, but i like to keep thinking.

i can exactly return the compliment (only it's just how they say it and not a compliment)

It's been a good day so far. A day of meditation and reflection. I enjoy the perspective that time brings on a day like today.

I love it when our work surprises us. I'm really looking forward to more of the series.

And I was just talking to Hanan yesterday about this green palette - how she used it abstractly in [link] and creepily figuratively in [link]

Yes, exactly. Two good examples. There's a sort of watery element to a lot of Hanan's work, too, which resonates with me rather deeply.
